This Poetry blog is an opportunity to create a circle of contributors and readers of contemporary, original poetry.

You don’t have to think you are “great ! “ ( In fact if you do think you are great, this blog probably isn’t for you ! )
It isn’t a blog for specially “religious” thoughts. Some poems may be faith poems in a direct way, others will be about life in general. Humour is welcome as well ! Our belief is that God may be found through all things in creation.
Our aim is to put up two poems on this blog each week, to create a kind of running chain of poetry through the year. Jane Gransden and I will kick off with a poem each, and we will edit the blog, and welcome poems from readers and others – please send them to us by email if possible, otherwise by post – and we will make a selection of a couple to put on the site each week. If you like to add a note about your poem and what it means to you, or how it came to you, that is fine.
